We are asking for fervent and steadfast prayer for our precious 8 month old nephew, Gunnar.
A few days ago, an ultrasound revealed a 3.1×1.7cm mass on his bladder. An MRI this morning determined that it is a solid tumor. On Monday, a doctor from UofM will perform a biopsy to determine whether or not the tumor is cancerous, specifically rhabdomyosarcoma.
Gunnar’s mom Kristie (Cameron’s sister) says:
We will see a team of pediatric surgeons on Monday at U of M to determine who will be the best physician to do this biopsy. If the biopsy comes back positive we are looking at a year of treatment with Chemo and Radiation. Your continued thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
Please pray, pray, pray that the tumor is not cancerous. Gunnar is a joyful, easygoing little boy- all of these tests and upcoming surgeries are difficult for such a small and delicate body to endure. Also please pray for Gunnar’s parents, Kristie and Ray, as well as his extended family who loves him so much. We thank God for his many blessings, including the Christian doctor who has walked the family through this and was able to pray with them at the hospital.
