“Here is the latest update: the surgeons met this morning, they will not be able to fully excise the tumor. Doing so could cause more damage to his bladder, prostate, and his reproductive system. Tuesday morning they will go in and obtain a biopsy from the tumor. At this point they are not sure how they are going to get the biopsy. They are going to try to use a scope and go through the urethra, but since he is so little, they are not sure they have a scope small enough. If they cannot go through the urethra they will make a small incision in his abdomen and take a needle into the bladder to get a biopsy. The doctors have told us they are 99% sure that this is rhabdomyosarcoma (malignant). We were told we have a long road ahead of us. Chemo will start right away and the first round will be intense. Prayers still greatly needed and appreciated.”

As you can imagine, our hearts are breaking just thinking about this little guy having to deal with surgery and chemotherapy. We are asking people to continue to cry out for miraculous healing. Come, Lord Jesus.

O God of heavenly powers, by the might of your command, you drive away from our bodies all sickness and all infirmity: Be present in your goodness with your servant Gunnar, that his weakness may be banished and his strength restored; and that, his health being renewed, he may bless your holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
